Saturday
Qualifying went well with no problems, managed to get out near the front and managed 2-3 clear laps and posted the 4th fastest time overall and more importantly put me on pole for my heat to qualify for the superbike races.

Heat 2 :  I got a good start and lead the race into the first corner. Due to the hot conditions the rear tyre soon started to loose traction and the grip really started to drop off. I took the win by a couple of seconds posting the fastes lap of the race 1m 48.5 which was only 0.1 of my fastest ever lap.
After a tyre change we noticed 3 of the rear sprocket carrier bolts had pulled the threads out and on saftey grounds had to pull out of the superbike first leg.

A quick call to John at John Warrington motorcycles Malton and the carrier was quickly wisked across by Colin to get repaired.
Later that evening John brought the repaired carrier over to the circuit and fitted it ready for sundays racing. John Warrington motorcycles does all my dyno work and also does frame alignment and really knows his stuff.

Sunday
After a Quick morning warm up to try some suspension changes it was time for the Cock o the north qualifying. Unfortunatly I managed to get held up on every lap by slower riders who all seemed to be in large groups. I could only manage a 7th fastes time which would place me on the second row for the race later in the day.

the sencond leg of the superbikes was next up. Starting on the front row I got a good start and held on to 4th place at the endof the first lap. The suspension was a lot better and I seemed to be getting good grip. Third place Derick Shiels had pulled a small gap on me by half race distance, although I managed to close the gap slightly by the end of the race I finished in a solid 4th place.
the race was won by Ryan Farquar, 2nd Micheal Pearson, 3rd Derick Shiels and myself in 4th.

Cock o the north. After a poor start and a bit of elbow to elbow in the first corner I knew it was going to be a hard race. At the end of the first lap I was back down in 9th place. the laps seemed to go really quickly as I tried to pick off the riders in front. I managed to pick off a few and finished the race in 7th place.
