This weekend of September 2 and 3, a high-flying show took place on the Circuit Carole for the penultimate stage of the French Superbike Championship organized by MC Motors Events under the aegis of the FFM. With a title quasi-promised in the category queen, a battle that intensifies in 600 and a suspense that remains untouched in the other categories, the graal of the drivers of the French motorcycle speed made full cardboard in Ile-de-France.

SUPERBIKE Race 1

Stress or motivation? Both! RST rider Kenny Foray (BMW Tecmas) made a very good start to take the lead in front of Axel Maurin (Yamaha), David Perret (Yamaha) and Mathieu Gines (Kawasaki SRC). After a few laps, Maurin went on the attack and relegated FORAY to the second rank, the two men widened the gap on Perret and GINES, in duel to stay on the podium.

From turn to turn, the favorite for the title gauge Axel Maurin, and remains in his wheel. Attentive to the slightest fault, the driver of the BMW No. 78 finally manages to get the better of Maurin. In 3rd place, Perret gets rid of Gines and seems to have more ambitions ...

At the end of the 25 laps, Foray passes the finish line with only 0'128 ahead of Perret! Maurin clinches to the third step of the podium.

In the Superbike Challenger, Morgan Berchet (Kawasaki SRC) took the lead and followed in the wake of Etienne Masson (Suzuki LMS) in 6th place in the scratch at the start of the race. RACE 2: Maurin Wins, Foray clinches the title!

Axel Maurin got the better start over Kenny Foray and Morgan Berchet. The order established between these last two is jostled in the second round. FORAY seems to remain cautious since he then yields to the insistent assaults of David Perret to find himself in the clutches of Etienne Masson.

The excitement of the race came from the battle fort the 1st and 3rd step of the podium, Maurin, Perret and Foray, Masson. Finally, Maurin maintains the pace and crosses the finish line in front of Perret. Foray holds off Masson to take 3rd place and is crowned Champion of France 2017 at the same time!
