It was a successful weekend for Dan Kneen at the Tandragee 100 road race as he gets up to speed in anticipation for the North West 200 and the Isle of Man TT.

Here is what Dan had to say.

'Tandragee was a good meeting for us, when we got there the track was quiet dirty with all the bad weather and being a farming area too so I decided to ease my way in and wait for the track to come to us. The practice is short and with only having 1 bike you get 5 laps practice then straight into the races. I'd qualified 3rd so was happy enough as there was more in the tank.

The first race I got an ok start and was in 3rd but caught back markers twice costing me time to the leaders so gave it my best on the last lap breaking the lap record with traffic and just nipped 2nd place.

Race 2 I got caught up with someone else's moment in the first few turns and  it cost me time again and the front 3 were going fast so It was difficult to catch as the Stk bike still didn't feel 100% setup wise, the race had been shortened to 6 laps so I had to get on with making passes which is not easy round there. With 3 laps to go I started making my moves and got into the lead a few turns into the last lap and tried to pull away, in the end it was enough to take the win. I think the lads were more happy than me about it and Hector enjoyed it too.

Its nice to get a win early in the season and things are coming together nicely for the Nw 200 now, before I went away Greenlight asked me to do some commentary for the Cookstown 100 so that was a first for me so hopefully I've done a good job. Also I've just got my TT start number too, so I'll be going at 8 in all classes.'
