Bennetts High Performance Awards

We delve into the details of the new award, and it's significance. Additionally, we explore the importance of this recognition and identify the RST products that meet the standards of excellence set by this prestigious accolade.

In April 2023, Bennetts introduced the Bennetts High Performance Awards, an initiative aimed at helping riders recognise varying levels of safety in motorcycle gear. The award highlights the safest garments available in the market.

For us at RST, safety is paramount, and we take pride in developing gear that excels in protecting riders. Our commitment to leading the way in motorcycle protection is ingrained in our brand ethos. As avid riders ourselves, we understand the importance of staying safe on the road and it is something we are truly passionate about.

We believe in transparency and empowering riders to make informed choices. With this award, we can provide a breakdown of the different levels of protection and highlight which of our products meet the required criteria, demonstrating the exceptional quality and performance of our products.

Breaking down the levels of the award

The award sets out 3 tiers of production: Gold, Platinum and Diamond. These are broken down as follows;

Gold Gloves certified to EN 13594 Level 2
Boots certified to EN 13634 Level 2 in all categories EXCEPT height
Jackets, trousers and one- and two-piece leathers certified to EN 17092 AAA
Platinum
Jackets, trousers and one- and two-piece leathers certified to EN 13595 Level 1
Jackets, trousers and one- and two-piece leathers certified to EN 17092 AAA that have also undergone additional testing to meet the requirements of the Platinum level of the Bennetts High Performance Award, which includes enhanced abrasion resistance with increased areas of coverage compared with EN 17902 AAA, and Level 2 armour throughout, including chest protection or an airbag.
Diamond
Jackets, trousers and one- and two-piece leathers certified to EN 13595 Level 2
Jackets, trousers and one- and two-piece leathers certified to EN 17092 AAA that have also undergone additional testing to meet the requirements of the Diamond level of the Bennetts High Performance Award, which includes the most enhanced abrasion resistance across increased areas of coverage compared with EN 17902 AAA, and Level 2 armour throughout, including chest protection or an airbag.
